FAQs Budget Shop

RT's Budget Shop is part of RT Reference Photos and is created to offer starting artists, artists with a smaller budget and all other artists that are not looking for extremely detailed reference photos a chance to purchase our images for a budget price. 😊

What does the Budget Shop offer?
RT’s Budget Shop offers our earlier/less perfect work for art reference use. The images may be less crisp or even slightly out of focus, but could still be inspirational for less detailed work.

Why these images less perfect? Think of less zoom or less advanced camera gear (early work). Or 'stripes' from fences that make a photograph hazy and pale and less detailed in those areas and/or fences in the background (hard to edit). Or having to photograph through thick glass, with makes a photograph unfortunately less sharp, but can sometimes show a beautiful moment or animal, just with less detail.

What Are The Prices in the Budget Shop?
Images in the Budget shop are € 5,- each, but you can also choose to buy 3 for €12,- (Coupon code: BUDGET3), or 5 for €18,- (Coupon code: BUDGET5) or 10 for € 30,- (Coupon code (BUDGET10)

Can I Sell Prints/Merchandise Of An Original Photograph?
No. Original photographs are only to be used by the person who purchased said image(s) for Art Reference. You may not print, distribute, sell, modify, transmit, revise, reverse engineer, republish, post or create derivative works (where applicable) of said images and footage without our prior written permission. I Want To Make An Exclusive Art Piece. What Can I Do?
If you wish to create an exclusive art piece, it is possible to claim 'exclusive use' for reference on a photograph. If the artist and photographer can agree on the price, the photograph will be removed from our pages for art reference and will no longer be available for other artists. The copyright will remain with the photographer at all times, thus the photographer has the right to publish, print, share and sell the original photograph for anything other than art reference. For more information or to request 'sole use' on your favourite photograph(s), feel free to contact me.

What is the difference between the Budget Shop and the regular Reference Photos Galleries?
The difference is mostly quality and/or preciousness of photographs. Images in the regular Reference Photos Galleries are our more detailed and higher resolution images. They are our more recent work, taken with high quality cameras and lenses. Also, images of special moments and (to us) special animals may be placed in our regular Reference Photos Galleries because we find them worth more than € 5,-. That may sound sentimental, but some animals and some moments have a very special place in our hearts.

Why is there so much price difference between the Budget Shop and the Regular Reference Photos?
As mentioned above, that is based on quality and preciousness of photographs.

Why are there images with a notice "less detailed" amongst the regular Reference Photos?
As mentioned above, those are precious moments, memories and/or animals. Some might be moved to the budget shop in due time, but for now we leave it as it is.

In case you found an image that is both in our budget shop and the regular Reference Photos galleries, please do let me know! We will make sure to correct that and you will get that image for the lowest price it is offered for.

Can I buy one photo from the budget Shop and one from the reference photos Galleries?
You can combine both images in your basket, but the “BUDGET” coupon codes only apply on images from the Budget Shop.

Does the 5=4 apply when I order photos from the budget Shop and from the regular Galleries?
The 5=4 discount does not apply on images from the budget Shop. Only on image from the Regular Reference Photos Galleries.

Why do items from the Budget Shop not appear in the search results?
As the name suggests, it is a budget shop. We have not given the items titles, to save me a lot of time and work. The titles may be added at a later time, but for now they are just the file-names. So if you are looking for something in particular, I am afraid you just have to scroll through the galleries of the Budget Shop.

How do I know if I am in the Budget Shop or in the regular Reference Photos Galleries?
The regular Reference Photos Galleries have a white background, the Budget Shop has a grey background. I hope that helps. 😊
